Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts event

Yesterday was such a good day! Went to the ICHF event Creativestitches & Hobbycrafts at Aintree. Me and a lot of older people it seems young people don't craft or sew anymore!? There was a wide variety of supplies for stitching, dressmaking, beading, knitting, papercrafts, jewellery making, beading, stamping and embossing as well as workshops. Here are my goodies from the day -
Fabrics - the orange one is simply beautiful with floral embroidery .
Ribbon and Giant buttons, who wouldn't want or need giant buttons!?
DECOPATCH!!!

super cute babies/children sewing patterns

My personal fave has to the Decopatch goodies, the letters are for the wedding reception and the paper is a beautiful red rose design. I will dedicate a full post to how I get on with it but for now here is a link to the website to see what beautiful creations you can make - DECOPATCH.

The workshops were so inspiring, the people just made it look effortless. I (tried) made ribbon roses, used a foil machine (they are amazing for handmade invitations), learnt how to decopatch and watched how with a stencil, soap and glitter you can make the most beautiful designs.

Look out for the Decopatch post soon!

Enterprise course

I began a course this week called the enterprise course with the Prince's Trust, It's basically a course for young people wanting to start up their own business. I have learnt so much in the past 2 days, 2 more to go! Hopefully by the end of it (the not revealing the name till i buy the domain) boutique will not only be a dream but a likely reality!
